Obituary of Wilja "Willie" Wilkinson

On Friday, April 17, 2020 Mrs. Wilja “Willie” Wilkinson of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 74 years. She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Wainwright; two children, Michael Wilkinson and Bellinda (Travis) Kennedy; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Cole Kennedy all of Wainwright; two sisters, Margaret (Dene Noble) Cheeseman of Calgary, Alberta, Rita (Hansi) Jud of Fieberbrunn, Austria; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ann Brawn , Barbara (Wes) Berg, Dale (Joan) Wilkinson, Linda (Ed) VanDelden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and extended family, Nancy (Frank) Schmaus, Ryan Cameron, and Wes (Natasha) Cameron. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernhard and Margaret; step-father, James MacDonald; brother-in-law, Jim Cheeseman. Due to the current circumstances a private family service will be conducted on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM from Creech’s Funeral Chapel, Wainwright. Family and friends wishing to participate are invited to join via the webcast link located below Willie’s photo. The family will have a social gathering to remember Willie when it is safe to do so. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #29 or to the Battle River Historical Society
