Your Dad and my husband , George , worked together for many years.
I rememeber Geroge coming home and telling me about the great coffee time stories they shared- especially some of the Hallowe'en tricks your Dad was involved in.
Your dad was a great gentleman. I am sorry for your loss.

We were so honored to have known Mike...He was Alice Sorenson's neighbour when he moved into the Cottage Units at the Vermilion Valley Lodge..Mike always had a smile and an encouraging word to impart ..We would sit on the front porch many evenings and listen to Mike play the accordian. .Mike also grew the BEST tomatoes and shared them each year...He was certainly missed last year when he moved into the Valley Lodge Rooms and shortly there after was quarinted due to Covid 19..At least we could make phone calls and wave from the parking lots....You will be missed Mike and not ever forgotten Our Sympathies /Condolences to Mike's Family..... I didn't spend a whole lot of time with Mike but the moments I did are etched in my memory. He was always smiling. He always asked about my life and was genuinely interested in what I had to say. He had a nice variety of interests and talents and shared them with anyone. He gave my mom such a boost and positive emotional shot in the arm when they were both at the Royal Alexander hospital getting their eyes managed. Little things like that done over a lifetime add up to a mountain of joy for others. I am sad that he has gone but I am grateful to have known him. My sincere condolences to Donna and Tony, Judy and Brad and all those who loved him.

My condolences to the family. You were blessed to have had Mike for so many years. I had occasion to meet him through the years at Senior Centre activities (my parents were involved in the choir and drama) and Lakeland College events. He could light up a room with his joie de vivre. And he didn't mind having his photo taken. He had to leave Art Bogg's 90th birthday before I took a photo of all the former Lakeland staff who were there. He had another party to get to. May your sorrow be tempered by sweet memories.

To all Mikes family, the memories derived from knowing Mike! Singing with the Battle River Boys, with Mike playing the accordion! We were even on TV in Lloyd one time! I played his “ heavy” accordion many times, to give him a needed rest. Mike always had a huge smile, and a joke, sometimes a wee bit “Wild!”. His smile and humour will definitely be missed. He will be playing in a new band, “The Band in the Sky!” Our condolences to all of you. Marion Allen and Don Good

Conrad, Donna, Greg and families,
Our sincere condolences as Uncle Mike starts his new journey. Uncle Mike was the best uncle anyone could ask for! His smile and hugs were always readily available to everyone and maybe a joke or two accompanying them. The memories are many and laughter is always apart of them! May he play with the angels as he reunites with those that went before him. May he Rest In Peace!
Love,
