My deepest condolences to the Coleman family. The regular Husky coffee drinkers and I are sure going to miss Addie at our daily coffee sessions. We could solve the problems of the world in one hour and often wondered why the world leaders never asked us for our opinions. I suppose no one ever told them about us. Addie was so well informed about everything. I loved discussing politics and especially the events and history of Wainwright. Addie’s memories of early Wainwright were so vivid. He could remember people’s names and where they lived from over 70 years ago. In the 4 years that I drank coffee with Addie I never heard the same story twice. It is so unfortunate that he hadn’t written a book to record his knowledge of Wainwright’s past. Last week I even mentioned to him that he should get his daughter Anne to help him write a book. I believe the link between the Wainwright pioneers and current community members has been lost with Addie’s passing. The Wainwright community has lost one of the most dedicated citizens and I’m certain history will prove that. If I could talk to Addie at this moment I would tell him that I held him in very high regards along with everyone else who knew him. It was an honour knowing him and I will never forget this gentleman. Dennis Stafford

I was very sorry to hear thar Addie had passed away. During the time I spent in Wainwright, I enjoyed my association with Addie whether it was on Town business, the Chamber of Commerce or a frienly visit over coffee. Addie was a great ambassador for the Town. He always had a smile and a very positive attitude. My heartfelt condolences Bea, to you and the rest of the extended family. I cannot be there for the funeral but I will be thinking of you today. God bless you all. Don McKinnon
