Although I only had the opportunity to know Anita for a short while during my brief posting to Wainwright, she will remain one of my best memories of that year. Anita was always one of the people I looked forward to seeing at work because she had a bright and outgoing personality and did not let her illness get the better of her. I am a better person for having known her and can understand the depth of her family's loss, an important life brought to a close too early. Anita was such a special lady I know she will be greatly missed. We didn't keep in touch much over the last few years, but when we did, it was like time had stood still. Anita worked for me at CFB/ASU Wainwright. I found her to be an energetic, intelligent, trustworthy and dedicated person. Through all of her trials with cancer, she remained upbeat. I remember her talking about the different methods she was trying to detoxify her body, and the successes she had. It was hard not to feel encouraged by her thoughts, and to feel moved by her emotions. Anita was always willing to give more of her time, as she saw others in need, that was so much like her. Anita will be sorely missed. My most sincere condolences to all of her family and friends in this time of our collective loss. A beautiful person is no longer with us.
