Obituary of Elias Tschetter

Elias Tschetter passed away quietly in his home with his family by his side on June 15, 2010 after enduring many years of complications left behind from a stroke. He leaves behind his caring wife Susie Tschetter, one son Ken (Edna) of Minburn, three daughters Eileen (David) of Cameron Farms, Taber Alberta Debbie (Jerry) of White Lake Colony, Barons Alberta and Frieda of Minburn also the family of his late brother Ed (Ruth and daughters ) 12 grandchildren and five sisters. He was predeceased by one brother Edward and his parents. Eli was born at Granum, Alberta and he moved to Irma, later to Minburn where he lived until his passing. Eli was a passionate farmer, who loved the land his first question for any visitor always was “How are the crops”? He worked at the colony pig barn until he had his stroke. His wife took care of him for many years, which was greatly appreciated by Eli for he always said “I would not be here would it not be for the great care I get from my wife” “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work of labor of love”. Hebrews 6:10. Funeral services conducted on Thursday June 24, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Mixburn Colony Church, Minburn Alberta burial to follow at the Colony Cemetery.
