Linda, Kenny, Art, Cindy, and to all of the Richards:
My deepest of sympathies. I cannot begin to imagine the loss and my heart goes out to all of you. When I heard of Bobby's passing, it shook the ground beneath my feet. As you know, I spent time as a kid out at the Berezanski's learning the ropes of farming and pretending to be a cattleman. When I close my eyes and think back to that time, Bobby's image pops up in so many memories. That smile of his or more fitting that smirk. And, his infectious laugh that would find its way into almost every conversation. Bobby had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone that was around him, myself included. I remember it plain as day even though it was probably over 40 years ago. We would happen upon one anther as Uncle Russell and I would either be going to town or just getting the mail. Bobby would be driving down the road. The trucks would stop. The windows would roll down. "Well Hello Ski !", Bobby would yell out from his window. The problems of the world would get discussed and solved. Well, at least Bobby would tell us a joke or two and share a story. We all would have a chuckle and everyone would be on their way.
Bobby was a good friend of the family always making the effort to come over and talk with me. Whether it was in the field, on the street, at a wedding, or at the Vermillion Fair; Bobby always would take the time and would genuinely take interest in what I had to say. That was true when I was a ten year old kid, a teenager or when I was a young adult. They say that richness on this earth cannot be measured in terms of dollars. Richness is defined in terms of family, friendships, and memories. Well, Bobby you being a part of my youth has made me very rich indeed.
Goodbye my friend. Your memory has been forever etched into my mind and you can rest assured that your time on this earth has definitely made a lasting mark on all of us.

Linda, Lyle and Randy, my heart breaks for you as you are going through this difficult time. Bob will be forever remembered by his family and friends. When I first met Bob in 1979, I was a young city kid from Australia who had come over to Canada to see my future husband. He always had time to show me how things worked around the farm, from moving cattle to driving a hay baler. Things I will never forget. He always had time when we would visit with our kids to show them how life on the farm was. Daniel and Kaleigh have such fond memories of their Uncle Bob. We are all deeply saddened by his sudden passing, doing what he loved to do. Forever in our hearts.

I knew Bob for nearly 50 years, not long after he met my sister, Linda. I have many fond memories of him; his wealth of information, witty jokes, a generous family man and his dedication to his profession, farming. He will leave a void in my life and to everyone who knew him, he will be greatly miss by his sons, Lyle and Randy and of course his spouse, Linda. Condolences to all his family and his many friends.
