Diane Marie (Meier) Krupka was born on July 18, 1946 in Unity, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her parents were Magdelena (Tirk) and Philip Meier. Diane was the 9th child in a family of 10 children.
Diane was raised on the family farm located west of Unity in the Scottstown area where she also attended school. After school she worked at the hospital in Hardisty, Alberta. She then moved to Luseland, Saskatchewan where she worked in the restaurant there and met Hubert Krupka. Her and Hubert were married July 18, 1964 in Reward, Saskatchewan. They then went on to have 3 children Allan, Wanda and Nicole.
Diane spent many years working in the Unity hospital in the laundry department. She quit there when she had Nicole, but once Nicole started to go to school Diane returned to the workforce at the Selkirk Restaurant in Unity. She then later went back to work in the Unity hospital in the kitchen for many years, until her health no longer allowed her.
Diane then received her liver transplant in 2006, a miracle that gave her and her family another 19 wonderful years together.
Diane has 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren that she was very proud of and loved spending every minute she got with them.
Diane also loved spending time with her other family and her many friends. She enjoyed having people over and cooking for them. She also loved to bake, play cards, go for coffee, and camping with her numerous family and friends. Diane was very gifted musically, and could play both the accordion and piano all by ear.
Diane passed away March 11, 2025 in her home at Jubilee in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
She is survived by her son Allan (Debbie) Krupka, daughters Wanda Krupka, Nicole (Kevin) Nidish, Grandchildren Julie (DJ) Harrison, Lane Nidish, Kayla Krupka, Zack Nidish, great-grandchildren Harper and Dexter Harrison and 4 of her sisters.
