Obituary of Lindsay Ray Hodgins
Lindsay Hodgins was born on August 21, 1931 and passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the Long Term Care Facility in Wainwright.
He is lovingly survived by his family, daughter Lois (Ed) Belanger of Edgerton, daughter Donna Hodgins of Dawson Creek, BC, son Doug (Janice) Hodgins of Calgary and son Randy (Kate) Repas also of Calgary. He also leaves to mourn his passing grandchildren, Adam (Shae) Belanger of Camrose, Linda (Pat) Foster of Saskatoon, Megan (Tommy) Haydukewich of Prince Albert, Nick (Carrie) Chahley of Bellingham, WA, Heather (Terry) McInnis of Dawson Creek, Melissa (Ryan) Panoulias of Dawson Creek, Andrew (Sydney) Hodgins of Calgary, Sean (Hilary) Hodgins of Calgary, Layne Repas and Leah Repas, also of Calgary as well as sixteen great grandchildren. Lindsay was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Shirley Margaret Hodgins in March of 1981 and his second wife, Shirley Anne Hodgins in June of 2018.
Lindsay was a long-time employee of the Beaver Lumber Company, managing the store in Wainwright from 1962 until 1972, as well as other stores in Provost, Dawson Creek, Camrose and Calgary. He was an avid fisherman, camping enthusiast and sports fan, enjoying hockey, baseball and curling. Lindsay was happiest when surrounded by his family and will be sorely missed.
