Obituary of Bryon Barker

On Friday, January 5, 2018 Mr. Bryon Barker of Wainwright, Alberta passed away suddenly at the Wainwright Hospital at the age of 48 years. Bryon was passionate about the things he was interested in… people, fish, pets, quirky music, telling jokes and CBC radio. Bryon served proudly as a member of the Canadian Military for over 20 years but his greatest love was for his wife of 25 years Tina and their two boys, Greg and Eric. This past year he was excited to welcome to the family his daughter-in-law, Amanda, and future daughter-in-law, Maygan. Bryon was also thrilled to meet his first grandchild, Meredith, and was looking forward to the arrival of his second grandchild later this year. Bryon loved to meet new people through Wags & Wiggles and through his many community endeavors was an encouragement to numerous people over the years and will be sorely missed. Bryon is also survived by his mother Janice, sister Sherry (Cam) Hurd, in-laws Fred & Helen Mercer and Wade (Moira) Mercer; as well as many extended family, neighbours and friends. If friends so desire, a trust fund has been set-up at the Encompass Credit Union, Wainwright to receive donations for a Wainwright Dog Park Gazebo.
