Obituary of Innes Robert Sawyer

On behalf of Innes Sawyer’s family, it is with heavy hearts we announce his passing on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018, at Wainwright Health Centre, Wainwright, AB at the age of 80 years. Innes is loved and remembered by his wife of 57 years, Donna Sawyer of Wainwright, AB; his 3 sons, Murray Innes (Valerie Kosik-Sawyer) Sawyer of St. Albert, AB, Robert George (Anita) Sawyer of Wainwright, AB, and Brent Donald (Geraldine) Sawyer of Sherwood Park, AB; 5 grandchildren, Ashlyn & Ryley Sawyer, Mercedes & Trenton Kosik-Sawyer, and Abigail Sawyer; his 2 sisters, Georgina (Ed) Hopper of Medicine Hat, AB and Marilyn (Stan) Antos of Cochrane, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Innes is predeceased by his parents, George & Bessie Sawyer; and his parents in-law, Donald & Signe Thirsk. A funeral service for the late Mr. Innes Sawyer will be conducted Saturday, April 7, 2018 from the St. Thomas Anglican Church, Wainwright, AB at 1:00 p.m. with Padré Ellis officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the Elk’s Hall, Wainwright, AB. If so desired, the family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson Association Of Alberta, or to a local charity of the donor’s choice.
