Obituary of Elizabeth "Liz" Mae Loonen

On Saturday, April 28, 2018 Mrs. Elizabeth Loonen of Wainwright passed away at the Mazankowski Heart Institute, Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 67 years. Liz is survived by her loving family; her husband, Harry of Wainwright; two children, Neil (Amy) Loonen of Irma, Alberta, Sara (Justin Standing) Loonen of Castor, Alberta; grandson, Owen; father, Art LeGros of Wainwright; mother-in-law, Mary Loonen of Wainwright; sister-in-law, Shirley LeGros of Yellowknife, NWT; Harry's Sisters, Ria (Mike) Eberhardt, Jose (Will) Milne, Sandra (Graham) Cooper, Angela (John Martin) Loonen; her nieces and nephews, Crystal, Michelle, Genevieve, Annelies, Rebecca (Sean), Emett, Aidan, Theresa, Jacqueline, Hannah; great niece, Margaret Liz was predeceased by her mother, Betty LeGros; brother, David LeGros. A Funeral Mass of Liz will be conducted on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wainwright. Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rainbow of Hope or to the Wainwright and District Handivan Society.
