Obituary of Scot D. Steele

On Friday, January 20, 2017 Mr. Scot Steele of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Long Term Care Centre at the age of 94 years. Scot (James Stanley) was the only son of Elise and James Steele of Edgerton. He married Carel (Marjorie Mailer) in 1941. He is predeceased by his loving wife, plus his son, Norris, and his daughter in law, Jo Anne of Edgerton. Scot is survived by three children, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren: Kathie (Cliff) Brown of Czar, Alberta Tyson (Holly) of Wainwright Marsha (Tom) of Fernie, B.C. Treva (John) Olson of Camrose Emerson (Kristen) North; Cooper of Beaumont Elise (Jon) Koehli; Anthony and Raphael of Edmonton Marke ((Doni) Steele of Oyama, B.C. Tia (Todd) MacMillan; Kate and Sarah, of Winfield, BC Kari (Kori) Muir; Bridgit, Brynn, Bryley of Calgary Liza Steele; Clover and Tyce of Winfield, BC Tod Steele of Winfield, BC Sons of Norris and Jo Anne Steele: Jassen (Lori); Kailyn and Kirby of Wainwright Darek (Bailee Ford) of Edgerton Scot and Carel, both of Cadogan, lived most of their 70 years together in Edgerton, operating a garage and growing grain east of town. The Edgerton Museum was an vital part of their lives after retirement. A memorial will be held in memory of Scot at Mistahiya Lodge on March 2 at 1p.m. Location: www.mistahiya.com
