Obituary of Grace Aldeen McDonnell

Grace Aldeen McDonnell (nee Gliddon) On Monday, March 11, 2019, Mrs. Grace McDonnell of Grande Prairie, Alberta and formerly of Wainwright, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Grande Prairie Care Center at the age of 89 years. Grace will be forever missed by her loving family; four children, Daughter; JoAnn Mielke (Keith) of Drayton Valley, Alberta, Son; Danny McDonnell (Tammy Secco) of Hinton, Alberta. Daughter; Erika Maier (Harold) of Barthel, Saskatchewan and Daughter Jeanette Butterworth (Bob) of Grande Prairie, Alberta; ten grandchildren, Greg (Brandi), Carolina (Martino), Brent (KC), LeeAnn (Pat), Nicholas (Courtney), Corrina, Shannon (Luke), Anthony, Thomas and Jarod; eighteen great grandchildren; Kaylee, Kara, Steven, Lillian, Hugh, Arianna, Brooklyn, Bradley, Seth, Camryn, Jordan, Zoey, Gunner, Case, Winnie, Range, Adley and Declan. Her siblings, Raymond (Lena), Verna (Gordon), Louise and Earl. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph in March 1982; her brothers; Clifford, Donald, Elmer and by her sisters, Shirley and Edna. A Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Creech’s Funeral Home in Wainwright. Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery. Lunch to follow at the Blessed Sacrament Parish Hall. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Wainwright Cemetery Foundation.
