Obituary of Ada Ruth Polinsky

With sorrow, as well as love and gratitude for a long life well-lived, we announce the passing of our cherished mom Ada Polinsky at the age of 94 years. Though she was weary, her spirit, sense of humour and strong resolve were with her to the end. Ada was born in Maidstone, Saskatchewan and met the love of her life Bob at a church social. Ada and Bob enjoyed 70 years together as husband and wife, friends and supporters of each other until Bob’s passing in 2015. Our loss is tremendous but mom has left us all with countless treasured memories to remember her by. We will miss her deeply. Ada is dearly loved by her six children and their families: Gary (Margaret), Lynn (Allan), Beverly (Victor), Bonnie (Trevor), Allan (Karen), Debbie (Dale) and daughter-in-law Dianne and son-in-law Darrel. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Lenora Tetreau of Vegreville, Pat Polinsky of Lloydminster, Freda Shea of Markham, Ontario , Elsie Tait of Oshawa, Ontario as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bob; parents Ferdinand and Pauline Ponto; sister Joan; brothers Ben, Ken, Milton, Raymond and Herb. A Celebration of Ada’s life will be held at the Lashburn Community Hall on July 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Memory of Ada may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to the kind and caring staff at the Lloydminster Hospital; the nursing staff of the 2nd and 3rd floors, with a special thank you to Dr. Peffer and special nurse Dorothy; and to the staff of the Pioneer Lodge.
