Obituary of Harold "Vern" Morrison

It is with great sadness that the family of Vern Morrison announce his sudden passing on July 4, 2019 at the age of 85 years. His love and passion for trucking took him many places but eventually he settled at the farm north of Ribstone with Helene where they enjoyed many happy and wonderful years before moving to Wainwright. Vern will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Helene; two sons, Marty Morrison of Edmonton, Alberta, Rick (Wanda) Morrison of Lloydminster, Alberta; his step children, Wendy (Bob) Zarchekoff of Calgary, Alberta, Tracy Spencer of Wainwright, Corey (Laura) Spencer of Ribstone, Alberta, Cindy (Craig) Marthaller of Calgary, Barry (Lynn) Spencer of Agassiz, British Columbia, Mike (Barb) Spencer of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Brad (Deb) Spencer of Airdrie, Alberta; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Doris (Jim) Spinks of Quesnel, British Columbia; brother Ken (Arlene) Morrison of Ribstone; numerous nieces and nephews. Though our loss is great Vern left us all with countless memories to remember him by. As it was Vern’s wish not to have a funeral, a small family gathering will be held to celebrate his life. Friends and family alike are encouraged to remember Vern in their own way. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Battle River Lodge.
