Dear Nina, It was so thoughtful of you to call me last night to let me know about your mother's passing. She and I were in treatment together at the Cross in 2001 so we shared a common bond. Your mother was a brave and courageous woman, kind and caring. Although we hadn't seen each other in over a year she was often in my thoughts. It's comforting to know that she passed away peacefully with her family at her side. I know that your mother felt blessed to have such a loving daughter. Your support and encouragement helped her to get through those last difficult months. Although I am unable to attend the service tomorrow you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers and a candle will be burning on my mantel in honour of your mother.
