Dear Lil, I was so shocked to see the notice of Ed's passing in the Edmonton Journal today. We, of course had no idea that Ed was so ill. Over the past weekend, I was looking at my contact list and thinking of Christmas coming and remembering old friends and days gone by. As a young bride in Vermilion, I was so scared of not meeting the expectations of everyone. Your friendliness, great cooking tips and warm smiles made me so comfortable. I remember my Mom remarking about the great friends we had and the "nice fresh cream" we were able to enjoy. You and Ed were Vermilion for me. I am so sorry that Ed has passed so young.
