Hello, Ila - My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am the daughter of Bill and Ingrid Simonson. My dad and your mother were first cousins - Dad's father was Willie. I have not met you but recently met both your brothers and their wives. I was with Dale and your mother Tues. AM - along with Caroline Taylor and her mother, Marina Simonson Johnson. I once wondered how the "death of a saint could be precious to the Lord" when it causes us such pain, until I realized that God in His love longs for His children to come home just as we long for our children.....David is HOME, forever with the Lord. It was a huge loss for us that David has gone to be with Lord, but such a gain for Him to be there. What a great celebration day it would have been as alot of the Twigg clan are there. It must of been oh so hard to say good bye for the family close at hand, and I wish I had been there too. I will surely miss David's phone calls. What good chats we had about our family, friends and family. He sure adored his wife and children and those grand kids were the apple of his eye. How he would tell stories about them and then laugh and giggle. I'm sorry my dear family out there for your loss but be assured we'll see David again. He is gone but never forgotten. Dear Ila, Valerie and Lianne (& families), Our first memories of your family were from the church in Lethbridge and being blessed by the superb music, including a "Mr. Harris" playing the trombone! We also remember how gracious David was with Dad, Pastor Eric Janes, whenever he would visit us from Newfoundland. David would straight away pass him the teacher's quarterly for the Adult Bible class, and also showed genuine appreciation and interest in his Tabernacle study. Our paths haven't crossed often these past years, but there remains a fondness in our heart for each of you. Our Heavenly Father WILL see you through the moments, the days, the years ahead.

Ila, you and Dave were wonderful friends to our parents and our Dad absolutely thought the world of Dave. Dave is a great man with amazing conviction and principles and will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Dear Ila & family, we were of mixed emotions when we heard of David's passing. So happy for him, as he is no longer suffering and is where we all one day long to be, with our Lord Jesus.
