Obituary of Karen Anne Mack

In Memory Of Karen Anne Mack 1956-2011 Karen Anne Mack 54 years, Waseca, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 10th, 2011 at Lloydminster Hospital surrounded by her loving family and best friend Doris Frost. Karen lived her life not worrying about the hardships that came along but focused on the lives we touch along the way. Born in Windsor Nova Scotia on September 29th, 1956 she lived the majority of life in Hantsport, Nova Scotia, touching people’s lives not only with her beautiful voice but with her loving ways where ever she was. She was employed as a waitress starting out at R&G’s in Hantsport where she was known for her hugs & kisses and songs for special occasions. She spent the last 11 years in Saskatchewan with her companion Toby Cochrane continuing to work as a waitress touching many lives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by grandparents James & Leora (Tracey) Vaughan, Mackenzie & Ethel (Bond) Grimm, and her 1st husband Lionel Hiltz. She is survived by her parents Leo & Joyce (Grimm) Vaughan, of Hantsport; 2nd husband Blaine Mack, Soul Mate Laurie (Toby) Cochrane of Waseca, Saskatchewan; Daughters: Amanda Brown of Hantsport, Brenda Hiltz (Bruce Berry) of Grand Pre; Son Caleb Mack (Tara Schofield) of Hantsport; Step-daughter Erika Cochrane (Adam Pifko) of Edmonton, Alberta; three grandchildren: Michaela & Mackenzie Brown, Taylor Shay; Sisters: Terry Rawlins, Kim Vaughan, Jackie (Tim Pitts), Margie (Doug Schurman), Cassandra (Craig Shay) and brother Edward (Tammy) Vaughan as well as many nieces & nephews. Thank you to the wonderful nurses and doctors who so lovingly cared for Karen during her illness. Your kindness and compassion meant so much to her family during this time. A Special thank you to Dr. Kerlis. Arrangements for cremation by Creech’s Funeral Home, Lloydminster, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Waseca Community hall, Wednesday April 13th at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Pastor Ken Yeo will officiate. Karen’s ashes will be flown home to Nova Scotia where a memorial service will be held at the Hantsport Baptist Church and she will be laid to rest in Riverbank Cemetery. As gentle soft winds blow, The angles wings have flown me home. Weep not for me for I am free, In Jesus’ arms I’ll wait for thee.
