Obituary of Walter Mudryk

On Monday May 16 Mr. Walter Mudryk of Derwent, Alberta passed away at the Vermilion Health Care Complex, Vermilion, Alberta at the age of 76 years. Walter is loved and remembered by his wife Joyce; 4 children: Debora (David) Hawryluk of Edmonton, Richard (Cindy) Mudryk of Ardrossan, Tom Mudryk of Derwent and Wayne (Brenda) Mudryk of Elk Point; 8 grandchildren: Robin (Dwayne) Renaud, Amy (Chris) MacLeod, Aaron (Breanne) Mudryk, Nicholas, Victoria, Ryan, Jordan, and Ramsey Mudryk; 2 great grandchildren Morgan and Mason Renaud; his brother Edward (Ned) Margie Mudryk of Elk Point as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Brenda, parents Peter and Katie; brother Michael and sister Natalka. A Prayer Service for Walter will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church in Derwent. Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Derwent with Father Lysak officiating. Interment will follow in the Derwent Cemetery. Donations in memory of Walter may be made to the Alberta Heart & stroke Foundation or the Alberta Cancer society. Online condolences at
