RIP Mr. Zajic, Chester, you always told me to call you Chester. You were a great man and mentor. You always had a story to tell, a helping hand to lend. Even though I only knew you for a short time, you felt like an old dear friend. Thank you for everything you did for Cayuga and the community. You will be missed by everyone in the community. On behalf of myself, the Executive Committee and all members of Worthington Branch #29, I pass on our deepest condolences on Comrade Chester's passing. I have always advocated that I don't need a large Legion membership, I need a strong one. Chester epitomized that premise. Even in his failing health, Chester always showed up for Legion activities especially those that were conducted in a public forum. When I needed a Legion member to represent the Branch at a Cadet parade, Chester would be the first to volunteer; his commitment to the Legion and Canada's youth was that strong. His almost 70 years of Legion membership attest to that. Although I only knew Chester for the past five years, I will remember fondly his stories of his wartime antics and how he could turn a story into a yarn that would have you splitting with laughter. His smile was infectious. As we gather on Tuesday to send Chester on his final journey, the hearts of all Legion members will be with you. As we move forward, there will be a void in our Club Room that can never be replaced. Lest we forget. John F. Mahon, CD President
