Obituary of Dillie May Ullman

On May 30, 2012 Dillie Ullman passed away at the age of 85 years. Cremation has taken place and at Dillie’s request no funeral service will be held. She will be laid to rest with her parents back home in Saskatchewan. Dillie will be greatly remembered by her beloved husband, Jake Harmes; two children, Sam Dunn and Florence “Cookie” (John) Safruk; her grandchildren; one sibling, Abner Tharp and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dillie is predeceased by her first husband, Harvey Dunn (father of Sam and Florence “Cookie”; second husband, Ross Ullman; parents, Emma and Josiah Tharp; siblings, Frank, Wesley, Wesley’s twin brother, Virgil, Johnson, Frances, Bessie, Pearl, Golda; two step sisters, Effie and Theo. Dillie was born in the Dummer District, Saskatchewan and grew up in the depression. Her years of farm life instilled a love of the country and all things living, she appreciated the beauty of nature and creation. Dillie was a very kind lady who looked for good in everyone and everything. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dillie may be made to the Wainwright Hospital Palliative Care Fund. Dillie’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank, Dr. Kevin Hay, the nursing staff and all the support staff who had a hand in the excellent care of Dillie while she was in the Wainwright Auxiliary. They would also like to thank Todd and staff of Creech’s funeral home for there assistance at this difficult time.
