Obituary of Katie Richards

On Sunday, June 24, 2012 Mrs. Katie Richards of Vermilion passed away in the Vermilion Continuing Care Centre at the age of 90 years. Katie is lovingly remembered by her children: Lillian (Lorne) Babiuk of Edmonton, Arthur (Valerie) Richards of Mannville, Robert (Linda) Richards of Vermilion, Kenneth Richards of Mannville, Judy Richards of Edmonton, Joyce (Richard) Tolsma of Edmonton, Cindy (Douglas) Hart of Vermilion; grandchildren: Phillip (Lindsay), Angie Richards, Stanley (Morgan), Lyle, Randy, Kathy (Trevor) Pearson, Joy (Mark) Lack and Sidney Tolsma; great grandson John Arthur Richards her sister Helen Challman of Spruce Grove and sister-in-law Eva Ferbey of Edmonton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her parents Anna and Jacob Ferbey, an infant son, grandson Leonard Babiuk and wife Nicole of Orlando, Florida; 3 brothers William (Margaret), Metro and Nicholas, sister Mary (Nick) Andrijiw, brothers-in-law Herb Challman & Francis Richards. A Funeral Service for Katie Richards will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from First united Church,Vermilion with Reverend Anne McGrath officiating Interment will follow in the Vermilion Public Cemetery.
