Obituary of Marie Maik

Marie Maik passed away on July 23, 2019 in Vermilion at the age of 90 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Elaine (Dwayne) Fossen and Jeanette (Perry) Pottle grandchildren Vaughan (Bonita) Paisley, Chris Paisley, Justin (Leslie) Maik, Derek (Michelle) Maik, Jared Pottle, Megan (Drew) Letawsky, and Devon Pottle step grandchildren Troy (Andrea) Fossen and Laurie Fossen great grandchildren Aiden, Hayley, Jarret, Ryker, Sophie, Liam, Racheal, and Brooke; brother Ed (Caroline) Polowy sisters Jean (Keith) Holden, Nancy (John) Klutz, and Olga (John) Dahoy; and daughter in-law Lois Smith. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Maik; sons Gary Maik and Leslie Maik; son in law Reg Paisley; and brothers Danny Polowy and Walter Polowy. A funeral service will take place at Clandonald St. Columba Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Clandonald Cemetery Fund, Vermilion Hospital (Long Term Care) or charity of choice.
