Obituary of Joyce Lucille Symes

Joyce Lucille Symes was born in Consort, Alberta on October 23. 1926. She was the second daughter of Fred and Gladys Sanderson. Joyce took all of her schooling in Consort. She married Jack Symes on November 20, 1947 after returning from serving in the Army. She worked many years with her father in the Post Office before moving to the farm. Left to mourn are children Norma Lynne (John) Wood of Rich Valley, AB, Fred (Carol Lynn) Symes of Edson, AB, Ron (Jillian) Symes of Consort, AB, and Noraine (Tim) Harris of Entwistle, AB, 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Joyce passed away peacefully in Consort Extended Care on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Funeral Services - Monday June 10, 2013 at the Knox United Church, Consort, Alberta at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Sue Hertell officiating.
