Obituary of Shirley Helen Horn

Shirley Horn was born December 1, 1931 in Hughenden, Alberta to Leonard and Tena Parke. She passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Wainwright Extendicare Hospital. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her four children: Brent and his children Megan, Melissa and Cole. Son, Charles. Daughter-in-law Marilyn and their children, Leslie (Niki) and their daughter Olivia; Travis (Kandi) and their daughter Kayden. Daughter Gerene and her husband Robin and their daughter’s Jenna and Mikayla. Daughter Marlene and her husband Dick and their daughter Abby. Sisters: Bertha Sorenson, Lorna Elliott and Jeanne (Stewart) Campbell. Sister-in-law, Audrey Horn. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Pat, her parents, Leonard and Tena Parke, infant sister Kathleen, brother, Roland and his wife Kaye, brothers-in-law, Mylius Sorenson and Delbert Elliott. A Funeral service for the late Mrs. Shirley Horn will be conducted on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:30 PM from the Hughenden Community Hall, Hughenden, Alberta with Pastor Eleanor Ness officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery, Hughenden. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Auxiliary Patient Comfort Fund (Made out to Alberta Health Services with Patient Comfort Fund in memo area) or the charity of the donors choice.
