Obituary of Violet Mabel Owen

On Wednesday, July 30, 2014 Mrs. Violet Owen of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Points West Living, Wainwright at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her loving family; five children, Joan (David) Green of Irma, Alberta, Kathy (Ron) Arnold of Irma, Barb (Art) Matthew of Wainwright, Rod (Wendy) Owen of Castlegar, British Columbia, Jim (Patti) Owen of Irma; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Les Funk of Hope British Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim; two grandchildren, Crista Matthew and Damian Owen; parents, Henry and Kate Funk; two brothers, Roy Funk and Dean Funk; two sisters, Effie Ewert and Rose Funk. A Funeral service for the late Mrs. Violet Owen will be conducted on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Irma United Church, Irma with Reverend Anne McGrath officiating. Interment will follow in the Jarrow Cemetery. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
