Obituary of Betty Joan Hassall
On Wednesday, April 13, 2016 Mrs. Betty Hassall of Wainwright, Alberta and formerly of Chauvin, Alberta passed away after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's in her home at Points West Living, Wainwright at the age of 75 years. Betty is survived by her devoted husband, Bud; three children, Joann (Cam) Nutbrown of Turtle Lake, Saskatchewan, Harry (Ronda) Hassall of Turtle Lake, Sandra (Todd) Creech of Wainwright; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Sean) Blanchette, Candace (Jeff Corbiel) Nutbrown, Tyson (Chloe) Hassall, Natasha (Scott) Roberts, Angela (Chad) Kessler, Andrea (Axsen) Venini, Brett Creech, Brydon Creech; six great grandchildren, Keagan Kessler, Kate Roberts, Dylan Blanchette, Skylar Kesslar, Aubrey Corbiel, Beau Blanchette; two sisters, Jean Murrell of Calgary, Alberta, Jessie Burton of Wainwright; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Arneson of Wainwright; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; bud's siblings and their families; and her very special and loving family from Points West Living. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Etta Arneson; siblings, Jim Arneson, Eva Dorland, Stan Arneson, Mel Arneson; two infant brothers, Richard Arneson, Ervin Arneson. A Funeral Service for the late Betty Hassall will be conducted on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Church of the Nazarene, Wainwright with Pastor Ryan Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery. Betty had a true appreciation for flowers so in saying that, they would be gratefully accepted by the family. Donations may also be made in Betty's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
