Obituary of Gerard Jerry Fortin

Jerry passed away peacefully on June 29, at the Provost Long Term Care, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jerry is survived by his son Harvey (Jodie) Fortin from Islay and their children Brandy (Daniel) Fortin-Aulenback of Chauvin and Kayley Fortin of Islay.

His stepchildren Brad (Kim), Marlene (Mike), Kathy, Christeen (Blair). His brothers Gilbert and Fernand.  His sisters Jeannine , Alexena and Irene as well as their respective families.  His very dear friends Joan (John) Hope of Islay.

He is predeceased by his parents Alexandre and Yvette, wife Marilyn sister Cecile, brother Romeo, mother-in-law Pauline, sister-in-law Ann, stepdaughter Paula and step grandson Aric.

Jerry will be lovingly remembered by the many hearts that he touched throughout his life.  At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Provost Long term Care Recreation Department (5002-54 Sver) Provost, AB T0B 3S0 attention Crystal)

Value Cremations in care of cremation and a family service will be held at a later date.
