Obituary of Kenneth Steven Ridgewell

It is with unbelievable sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kenneth Steven Ridgewell on September 7, 2024.  Ken grew up in Zealandia, SK. He moved to Saskatoon when he was in his teens and there he met the love of his life, June Swayze. Together they had a beautiful family & wonderful life.  

Ken is predeceased by their son Kelsey, his parents Frank & Luella Ridgewell, his sister Margy Chouinard & his brother Doug Ridgewell. Missing him are his wife of 57 years, June; their children Kim (Glen) Custer, Kary (Roger) Toews, Karla (Jonathan) O'Regan & Kris (Jess) Ridgewell; his grandchildren Trystan Galger & Luella O'Regan; his brother Randy (Barb) Ridgewell; along with numerous nieces and nephews. With special mention as well to Michael & Mark Schlitt.

Ken was a wonderful husband, a loving father & a hard working man. He was always willing to help his friends, his neighbors & anyone who needed a hand.  He loved to talk about God’s Kingdom & the wonderful hope found in the Bible. His faith & comfort in Jehovah’s promises never wavered.  Ken was also always ready with a joke & liked to make life fun to live. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched, until we see him again in paradise on earth (Psalm 37:29 & Revelation 21:4). 

Special thanks for the amazing care & kindness Ken received at the Lloydminster Hospital. Thank you also to Dr. Tinesha Govender, who went above & beyond for our family. 

Ken's memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1502 49 Avenue Lloydminster, SK on Saturday September 14 at 1:00 pm. You can also attend via zoom.
