Obituary of Jack Hobbis

Jack Hobbis passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Vermilion at the age of 91 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Karen Gamblin (Ted Taphorn) of Lake Isle, Beth (Rene) Laforce of Sherwood Park, and Randy (Janice) Hobbis of Vermilion; grandchildren Jackie, Dennis, David, Michelle, and Dani-Rae; great grandchildren Bryan, Melissa, Shania, Gwen, Dalton, Mason, Carson, Easton, Chase, Dane, Carter and Halle; great great grandchild Addison Jocelyn Rene; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lurline; granddaughters Christine Gamblin and Randelle Hobbis; parents Cecil and Margaret Hobbis; brother Bob Hobbis; sisters Betty Cronk and Colleen Niven; and son in law Ray Gamblin. A Funeral Service will be held at the First United Church, Vermilion on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Anne McGrath officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the First United Church, Friends of Vermilion Health Centre, Vermilion Valley Lodge, Vermilion Senior's Centre or charity of donor's choice.
